Sex and sexiness is 'whats in' right now. So many people are obsessed/obsessing with the way they look and the way they think others are perceiving them. Some people just put some makeup on in the morning to feel a little better, buy some new clothes, look great occasionally.. But there are others, taking it to the extreme in a negative light; starving themselves to lose weight/diet pills, fake tanning, surgeries even. But why is physical appearance all that matters about being sexy? It appears that way in the media- and that's where we went wrong. I think posting photos of actual girls that are happy is what it would take. Actual girls with some freckles, or maybe one who's a little overweight, etc. Sadly enough though, that's not what its like in the real world. I think the only way that would change if everyone could accept personalities over appearance, unfortunately though, I don't see that happening.
- One point, I had watched this very inspirational video clip on youtube, and one of their quotes were, "do not read beauty magazines. they will only make you feel ugly." And I do like to refer back to that, where are the average girls in magazines? It's hard to show off a new clothing item on a little bit of an overweight girl, but that's not the point. If that girl is happy in her new outfit, and wearing it with a smile, that's what's worth capturing.
Why do we even have magazines that are devoted to beauty? There are so many of them, and they're so expensive. I even get one myself, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to get out of the magazine.
